STYLE CRUSH: SOLANGE KNOWLES

Hey lovelies, how has your week been? better than mine I hope. This post is one that has been sitting in my drafts/brain for so long and I am finally putting it up. Since crushing on boys is too mainstream for me, I choose to crush on people's styles.
This gorgeous woman is one of the people whose style I am totally in love with and I'm sure you can see why. I fell in love with her style about a year ago and I can never get enough, she wears everything beautifully and with such confidence (like she is doing the clothes a favour). I love the way she mixes and matches prints, she is such a pro. I can't get enough!!! How do you feel about her style?

BLACK BASICS.

Black is probably my favourite colour when it comes to clothes, black and gold is also my favourite colour palette because it just works. On this day, I was running late and hadn't thought of what to wear, I also had so much on my mind that what to wear was really the least of my problems. So, I opted for a black tee and black jeans and I wore my favourite black coat, I wore those shoes because they fit in the black and gold palette. I haven't really felt the cold this winter, maybe because I spend most of my time in my apartment but I resume classes on Monday so I might start layering like everyone else.

PRINTED SHIRT

I told you that I would be back soon, here I am. I am learning how to make proper use of my time.
Time is the biggest asset we have, and the time wasted is a wasted opportunity to do something useful.
The problem is not how much time we have, but rather, how effectively we use it.

I have only just a minute, only 60 seconds in it,
Forced upon me- can't refuse it,
Didn't seek it, didn't choose it,
But it is up to me to use it.
I must suffer if I lose it,
Give account if I abuse it,
Just a tiny little minute- but eternity is in it.

Talk soon xx.

2014!!!

Happy New Year Folks!!! I hope everyone has had a lovely start to 2014, I just finished my exam and I'm back (lol). This is not an outfit post but that is a picture of me in my Nigerian native wear, that I wore last October. I am sure many of us have expectations for this year, I for one have many!! One of which is to be more committed to my little blog (haha, I don't have commitment issues). When I started this blog, I didn't really know what I was going to do with it or what I was doing, all I wanted was to try my hand at something and maybe develop a hobby. As time went on, I became fashion inclined (it wasn't really my thing at first) and I honestly like it but I always have that feeling of inadequacy that plagues me but I am set out to conquer that feeling because I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me (Philippians 4:13).

This year I am going by "JUST DO IT", I will not overthink things and convince myself not to do what I want to do, I will be a doer (well, I have kind of started, I mean I am telling you guys this). I will be posting more on this blog (yes!! hold me to that) not all fashion related posts though but things that I love and want to share. I hope you guys stick around to see things grow.

By the way, you guys should like my facebook page and follow me on bloglovin just to keep up with the blog.  I wish everyone the best this year, see you real soon xx.
